[AnimeJapan 2026] Business Day seminar information released. Seminars explaining domestic and international anime business trends.
Information on seminars for “AnimeJapan 2026,” an anime event that will hold public days on March 28th (Sat) and 29th (Sun), 2026, and business days on March 30th (Mon) and 31st (Tue), has been released. Pre-registration for attendees has also begun on the official website.
Six seminars will be held, explaining domestic and international market trends and licensing structures.
Over 70 companies from Japan and abroad will be exhibiting. The event will also feature sponsored events such as business negotiation and consultation booths.
Pre-registration is open until March 27th.
“AnimeJapan 2026” Event Overview
Six seminars will be held, explaining domestic and international market trends and licensing structures.
Six business seminars on trends and practical aspects of the video and anime industry will be held over two days, March 30th (Mon) and 31st (Tue).
On Monday, the 30th, there will be sessions on the overseas expansion of Japanese anime by Amazon Japan and Kodansha (including their distribution strategy for Prime Video), as well as discussions on trends in the Middle Eastern market by Manga Productions, and commentary on anime industry trends and the latest developments by industry journalists.
On the following day, Tuesday the 31st, there will be a presentation by Kazuo Rikukawa of Character Data Bank on the structure and trends of the licensing business, as well as sessions on the trends of indie anime by 3DCG animation directors and others, and sessions based on market data of Japanese, Chinese, and Korean anime and original manga by MyAnimeList.
More than 70 companies from Japan and overseas will exhibit. The event will also feature sponsored events such as business negotiation and consultation desks.
More than 70 anime-related companies will exhibit at the venue, including domestic production companies and manufacturers such as Aniplex, Toei Animation, and TMS Entertainment, as well as overseas companies such as Crunchyroll.
In addition, a free business negotiation space with Wi-Fi will be set up within the venue. Furthermore, sponsored events will be held to facilitate information gathering and business negotiations, including an “Anime Business Concierge” desk where you can consult about entering the market from a different industry or various business questions, a “Pitch Event” where exhibitors will introduce their products, and an “Anime Business Industry Data Exhibition” summarizing trends in the anime market.
The pre-registration fee is 11,000 yen (tax included). This includes participation in both business days, plus, as a perk, admission to either March 28th (Sat) or 29th (Sun) (including Family Anime Festa 2026) on one of the public days. On-the-day registration during the business days costs 15,000 yen (tax included) and grants admission to business days only.
Please note that the business days are intended for stakeholders with the purpose of business negotiations and information gathering utilizing anime content. Students and those planning to start businesses are not permitted to enter.
